PR: North Ferriby vs Brigg Town

After Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Rossington Main, North Ferriby return to the Dransfield Stadium on Tuesday night with the visit of Brigg Town, kick-off 7-45 p.m. Ferriby were leading 1-0 until the 95th minute but when they went down to ten men midway through the second half it would always be a struggle to stay in front.

After two tough performances against Whitley Bay, Ferriby were looking to respond which they did in a fashion with a point away from home. But, manager Chris Bolder is looking for a massive amount of improvement from his side moving forward in the season ahead.

“From two disappointing performances from last Saturday and Tuesday we are a million miles away from where we want to be at this moment in time,” admitted Bolder.

“We are also a million miles away from the performance we put in against Shirebrook in our first league game as well. But, I thought in Saturday’s game at Rossington our shape was phenomenal but things do change when you go down to ten men as we did.

Bolder is aware they have to improve in certain areas as there are a lot of games to come in such a short time but is confident his side can improve when he added: “The games are coming thick and fast and we have got to stay positive as it looks like we have lost another player through injury.”

Ferriby should have Danny Buttle and possibly Harvey Carew back for the Brigg game as they look to continue their unbeaten start to the season. It will remain to be seen how the players shape up after Saturday but they will stay positive and be going out for the win.

They come up against a Brigg side in sixth place in the table and with former Ferriby striker Scott Phillips in good scoring form. The North Lincolnshire side have played three this season so far having beaten Glasshoughton at home 3-2 and winning 2-1 at Ollerton before last Saturday’s home defeat by Selby Town 4-3.
