PR: Hall Road Rangers vs Rossington Main

Hall Road Rangers return to NCEL Division One action this weekend as Rossington Main visit Haworth Park.  These sides previously faced each other less than a month ago. In which, Rossington ran out 5-1 winners at Oxford Street on Saturday 11th September. Since that game, Main won 2-5 at Rainworth Miners Welfare, lost 0-3 against Skelmersdale United in the FA Vase Second Qualifying Round and were defeated 2-4 by Brigg Town.

On the other hand, Rangers lost 5-0 at Nostell Miners Welfare, won 3-2 against Shirebrook Town and suffered a 5-2 defeat at Abbey Hey FC in their FA Vase Second Qualifying Round tie.

Hall Road are aiming to continue their relatively good home form as they’ve picked up three wins from six games at Haworth Park so far this season. Meanwhile, Rossington have won three of their five games on their travels which is the ninth best away record in the league.

Rangers joint-manager Leon Sewell wants his side to show some consistency starting with this Saturday’s game.

“We’ve got to go again. I’m fed up of saying we’ve got to go again because we desperately need some consistency. Our league position has always been the main focus and we’ve got to dust ourselves down. We’ll be in training during the week and we’ll be ready to welcome Rossington to Haworth Park on Saturday afternoon” Sewell said.
