PR: Hall Road Rangers vs North Ferriby

After Tuesday nights 2-2 draw at home to Brigg Town, North Ferriby take the short trip on Saturday to take on Hall Road Rangers at Haworth Park, kick-off at 3 p.m. The Villagers will be looking to continue with their unbeaten start to the season against their closest rivals.

The Villagers currently sit eleventh in the table with an opening day 3-0 win at Shirebrook followed by a 1-1 draw at Rossington and the point against Brigg. Rangers have played four games with one win, 3-1 at home to Ollerton Town with defeats 5-1 at Selby Town and 2-1 at Glasshoughton with a 1-0 loss at Worsborough Bridge.

Ferriby manager Chris Bolder knows what local derbies can be like and is aware of the threat Rangers bring despite being in 15th place in the table when he said: “On their day Hall Road are a good side and I know local derbies can be really tough to play in and also manage in.

“What we need to do is to put in a dominant performance something like we did in the final 25-30 minutes against Brigg in midweek. Unfortunately, we were only able to get a share of the points but even at 2-1 down we showed a tremendous amount of character we have within our squad of players.” Ferriby go into the game without Danny Emerton who will start the first of a three-match suspension he picked up after being sent off at Rossington. Joel Shortland is unavailable with Matty Plummer, Danny East and Liam Nelthorpe being assessed after injury but there could be a return to action for Harvey Carew.
