Police inspection: Force needs to ‘improve’
The annual inspection of Humberside Police has said the Force still “requires improvement”. It said improvements needed to be made in the way it investigates routine crimes, such as assaults and criminal damage, but judged the Force was good in preventing crime and anti-social behaviour and tackling serious and organised crime.
In its official response, Humberside Police said it was encouraged the inspection had recognised good progress had been made in the past year and said its biggest-ever recruitment campaign for new officers was going really well. “We know that this is a journey of long-term sustained improvement and it’s going in the right direction,” Assistant Chief Constable Chris Noble told us.
