North Ferriby vs Garforth

North Ferriby FC welcome fourth-place Garforth Town to the Dransfield Stadium this Saturday.

The Villagers saw their game at Barton postponed midweek due to a waterlogged pitch. This means Chris Bolder’s side will have had a twelve-day break come Saturday.

Last time out the Villagers saw off Bottesford 2-0. Goals from Josh Whiteley and Danny Clarke the difference.

The Villagers still possess an eleven-point advantage over second-place Winterton.

Chris Bolder summed up how the gap between games has been managed, “we have had a little break given no game last Saturday and the postponement of the Barton mid-week game, so we are raring to go. We have had great training sessions leading up to the game and we have a strong squad to choose from”

Garforth come into the game on the back of a 3-2 home win over Barton last weekend. Paul Marshall’s side have scored the most goals in the league. In their 23 games, they have scored 56. James Burgess is their top goal scorer with 13 league goals. Charlie Marshall follows closely on 10.

When the two sides met in September, both sides left with a point. The Villagers were denied by a last-gasp equaliser from Luis Da Silva. Niall Tilsley had put Ferriby ahead earlier in the second half. Bolder summed up his thoughts ahead of the game, “It will be an incredibly tough game against Garforth as we saw at their place earlier in the season. They are in good form and are positioned well in the league once again. They have a great management team and have shown this season they are a threat to any team in the division so we will look forward to another tough game”.

Ferriby boosted their squad with the signing of former loanee T’Nique Fishley after the Bottesford game. The Villagers will be without Danny Earl and Amir Berchil who will both serve a suspension for receiving five yellow cards.
