New free cycling map issued
A new, free, cycle map has been issued by East Riding Council. It is the seventh in a series of maps developed by the council’s transport policy team and this one takes in places such as Hornsea, Aldbrough, Burton Constable and Rise.
They include rides suitable for a range of abilities, from novice riders to those looking for a more challenging route.
The routes have been graded by difficulty and the map has included rides to cater for all users – from families wanting shorter routes or a cafe to reward themselves at the end to longer rides for those wanting a more challenging breath-taking ride.
Most of the routes run alongside quiet roads or the Hornsea rail trail and take in some of the picturesque local scenery via local attractions such as Hornsea Mere and Honeysuckle Farm.
