New exhibition at the Minster
17 clay sculptures by Beverley artist Pam Davies have been unveiled at Beverley Minster for a month-long exhibition called “Fractured Lives: A Story of Human Experience.” It has taken Pam a year to complete and collectively the sculptures form a narrative and make connections with biblical stories, works of art and poetry, and cultural icons.
Pam said: “The sculptures reflect the way our lives can be dominated by matters like money, possessions and status whilst concerning ourselves less with the impact we are making on the natural world and the lives of other peoples.” The exhibition is free and runs until September 28. Beverley Minster opens 9am, Monday to Saturday and 12pm on Sunday.
