More accolades for chocolate shop

It’s a chocolate-lovers paradise and now Beverley’s White Rabbit Chocolatiers shop has won more accolades from the national Great Taste Awards, run by the Guild of Fine Foods. The shop and its newly-opened cafe in Dyer Lane have been recognised in the organisation’s 2017 awards; its rosemary caramel with salt truffle given Two Star status, meaning it is classed as “outstanding” in the minds of the judges.

And their Georgian Hot Chocolate drink served in the White Rabbit Chocolate Cafe received One star status, being described as “simply delicious”. The Great Taste awards are seen as the “Oscars” of the food world with more than 500 judges blind-tasting entries.

A family-run firm, the White Rabbit team is made up of Master Chocolatier Sally Hawkes, her son Ed and daughter Amy. The two latest awards bring to 19 the total of Great Taste accolades received in recent years.
