BISHOP BURTON College has announced that this year’s Spring Live event will take place on Sunday March 26, promising a fun family day out. A spokesperson for the college told Beverley FM that a full programme of activities will be available closer to the event, but said: “There will be plenty to make sure you and your family have an amazing day.”

He continued: “People will be able to head to the farm to see our new lambs, have a go on our mechanical horse, try their hand at bricklaying and get up close to our creepy crawlies, and lots more!” The event will run from 10.30am to 3.30pm. A free park and ride service will run from the School Lane car park adjacent to Beverley Fire Station, with buses departing every 15 to 25 minutes.

NEIGHBOURHOOD police officers have been on foot patrol on Wood Lane in Beverley following reports off  an assault that occurred on Wednesday of last week around five o’clock in the afternoon.. Pc Benjamin Seed urged anyone witnessing the incident to contact Humberside police via the non emergency number 101.

A FORMER divisional commander for specialist policing covering the whole of Scotland has been appointed Deputy Chief Constable of Humberside Police. Chief Superintendent Thom McLoughlin will take up his post in a few weeks time.
