Lottery project supporting Beverley youth club
A National Lottery-funded project is currently supporting efforts to ensure the future of a youth club at Beverley’s Cherry Tree Centre. The club is currently open on Monday evenings between 6 and 8pm for those aged 11 years old and upwards. Gemma Wallace, a support officer for Volunteen Plus – a lottery project working with young people in the East Riding – told Beverley FM: “We are supporting the Cherry Tree Centre in finding funding for some permanent youth workers to continue the club.”
She continued: “We need young people to drop in and tell us what they want and to be a part of shaping the support for them in this area of Beverley. We would also like to hear form any keen adult volunteers who would like to support the youth club.” Prospective youth club members can go along any Monday evening from 6pm; anyone wanting to find out more or volunteer can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01482 871077.
