Local breweries included in national guide
Two local micro breweries are among 23 new ones across Yorkshire to be included in the 2019 edition of The Good Beer Guide, published by CAMRA, the Campaign for Real; Ale. They are the Twisted Angel Brewery, based in Beckside Court, off Annie Reed Road, and the East Yorkshire Beer Company, based at the Tokenspire Business Park in Woodmansey.
Twisted Angel started life in a garden shed, but then, in October last year, moved into premises on the Grovehill industrial estate and currently produces a range of nine beers which are sold at the Chequers and Monks Walk in the town as well as other outlets nation wide. The East Yorkshire Beer Company is a family-run business supplying four or five local outlets as well as selling and serving beer at their premises on the business park.
They were at the Cottingham Food Festival at the weekend and will be represented at the world barge pulling championships on Beverley Beck this Sunday (September 23).
