Leven digester plans resubmitted
Amended plans have been submitted to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s planning department for an anaerobic digester to be sited in Leven. Plans for the development were unanimously rejected in April following hundreds of objections from residents, even though officers had recommended approval.
Now, applicant Mr John Bird has submitted new plans which show a larger tree-planted area around the site and a reduction of the plant’s height. The group set up in protest when the scheme was first mooted, called Communities Against the Digester, says it is still unhappy and is arranging a number of meetings in area area.
