Summary

We are currently looking to recruit a cook to join our catering Team.

The Mill Lane site has three different services on its site which include Milers Day centre.

New House Residential Service and Town View Respite service. We seek a committed, self-motivated, and reliable individual to deliver high quality nutritional meals to our service users this includes Older Adults and Adults with a Learning Disability.

This post will suit an established caterer with some previous experience of working in catering or have had experience of working in a residential setting.

The ideal candidate will desirably hold a catering qualification, such as NVQ level 2 or 3, and a minimum of Level 2 food hygiene qualification along with some knowledge of special dietary needs and nutritional requirements, or be willing to attend the necessary courses to gain the appropriate knowledge and skills.

You will need to be a team player who can work to a high standard, whilst possessing the appropriate supervisory skills to manage a kitchen.

You will be responsible for preparation, cooking and service of food (including a range of special dietary requirements) in accordance with current food safety regulations and health and safety regulations and local authority regulations, along with maintaining the high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen.

Please note the service takes the safeguarding and welfare of vulnerable adults very seriously so the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
