Jack Wills opening in ex-Briggs & Powell store
The identity of the new occupants of the former Briggs and Powell premises in Saturday Market, Beverley, has finally been revealed as trendy clothing store Jack Wills, who currently have some 70 outlets across the UK, including those in York and Leeds.
Since Briggs and Powell closed there has been much speculation over who would be moving in to the premises, which were being marketed with a sale price of three-quarters of a million pounds. There was much talk of it becoming another restaurant but this week Jack Wills confirmed they were advertising for staff and planned to open next month.
Jack Wills was founded by Peter Williams and Robert Shaw in 1999 and sells both men’s and women’s clothing. its products are branded with the signature logo of a pheasant with a top hat and walking stick. The main colours the brand is recognised for are navy and pink.
