Hull City vs Huddersfield

Hull City will look to banish the home blues that plagued them in 2022 as The Tigers look to kick start their 2023 league form off to a positive start versus fellow strugglers Huddersfield Town in a vital Yorkshire Derby at The MKM Stadium.

Huddersfield, who have slipped into the relegation places of late after a poor run of results have boosted their ranks in the last couple of days with the loan signings of Martyn Waghorn & Anthony Knockhaert, City have also recruited Aaron Connolly who will be keen to make an impression if selected to make his full debut. Jordan Rhodes will be an obvious threat up top as he has been in the past and the talented Sobar Thomas with his set-piece deliveries needs to be kept a close eye on.

A home win tomorrow could potentially put City within touching distance of the play-offs which shows how close the League table is and is remarkable given City’s indifferent form especially in front of their home faithful. Huddersfield will look to complete the double over City after inflicting a comfortable 2 – 0 home victory back in October.

Derbies are normally cagey & tense affairs but I am predicting City will come out on top and continue their climb up the table with a convincing 3-1 victory with Aaron Connolly making an immediate scoring impact.
