Hull City 2-2 Bristol City

Hull City made it six games unbeaten with a 2-2 draw against Bristol City in the Sky Bet Championship. Matty James scored an injury-time equaliser for the visitors, as the points were shared at the MKM Stadium.

Grant McCann named an unchanged starting XI from their last fixture against Reading. The only change was on the substitutes bench as Tom Eaves replaced George Moncur, while Richie Smallwood captained the team on his 50th Hull City appearance.

It was the perfect start for the Tigers as they took the lead after just three minutes. Ryan Longman drove down the left wing before cutting inside on his favoured right foot to curl an effort past the dive of Daniel Bentley.

On the other wing, Keane Lewis-Potter caused the Bristol City defence problems with a teasing cross, while Mallik Wilks volleyed over from George Honeyman’s delivery. At the other end, Sean McLoughlin produced a vital challenge to deny Antoine Semenyo, before Lewis-potter saw his deflected effort held by Bentley.

The next opportunity of the game fell to Chris Martin, but his volleyed effort deflected behind off Di’Shon Bernard. Longman then searched for his second of the afternoon, but his curling effort went narrowly over the bar, while Wilks was denied one-on-one by Bentley.
