How your group could tap into grant aid . . .

Beverley’s Tesco store has given out grants totalling £132,000 to 38 local organisations in the past two years as a result of its Bags for Help scheme and is now inviting other local groups to find out more about how they can take advantage of the scheme. The money comes from the sale of plastic carrier bags in store.

A “Meet the Funder” day is being held on Wednesday October 10th, aimed at community groups, sports clubs, charities and schools from the Beverley area and is an opportunity to discuss potential applications with the community charity Groundwork, who administer the scheme on the store’s behalf. Normally, grants range between £1,000 and £4,000.

To attend the day, groups should book in advance by emailing beverley@communityattesco.co.uk Slots are available, normally lasting 15 minutes, between 10am and 12.30pm and 1.30pm and 4pm.
