‘Golden’ girls plan charity shop fashion show
A Beverley team taking part in this year’s Humberside Police Lifestyle Challenge is organising a fashion show next week, using designer clothes from local charity shops. Jazmin Young, Amelia Sparks and Libby Marshall, who are all pupils at Beverley High School, make up Team Golden, who came up with the idea as a way of encouraging environmental awareness.
So far, the girls have got support from the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research, Scope, Dove House and Age UK for there fashion show, which is free to attend and will take place at the Minster Parish Hall on Tuesday August 21st, from 2 to 4pm.
All proceeds from the sale of clothes on the day will go back to the charities and in addition, the girls will be having cake stalls, nail painting, hair braiding and selling home made crafts on the day, with proceeds to the Minster.
