Residents can now have their say on the housing and employment targets which will shape the future of Beverley and the East Riding. The Draft Local Plan dates back to 2016 and the update will show how much more housing is needed and where. The public has 10 weeks to give their views until the 6th August and the main way is online at www.eastriding.gov.uk/localplanupdate. Print copies are also available at libraries and customer service centres.

East Yorkshire hospitals are to be among the first in the country to use patient safety equipment made from recycled materials.
The new eco-friendly ‘slide sheet’ will be used at Castle Hill and Hull Royal Infirmary to move patients safely in their beds.  The sheets also reduce the effort required to move the patients, cutting the risk of staff injury.

Beverley Art Gallery wants the public to become involved in its latest mindfulness videos, to help people relax and unwind through art. Its social media channels will publish images of two paintings over the next five weeks and invite votes for the people’s choice. The winners will be used for the next mindfulness videos.
