EAST RIDING Council has launched a new climate change strategy aimed at achieving net zero through reducing carbon emissions across council operations between now and 2030. A spokesperson told Beverley FM: “Although the council is only directly responsible for a small proportion of carbon emissions in the East Riding, we recognise our role to lead and influence behaviours and ambitions on climate change across the county.”
