Police are carrying out house to house enquiries in the Molescroft area today after a spate of burglaries. On Wednesday 8th November between 12.15pm and 3.50pm two addresses were targeted on St Leonards road. One address had a ‘one of a kind kids motorbike’ stolen from the garage and keys stolen after the burglars broke into the house via an internal door. The other address was targeted by an insecure door into the kitchen and a mobile phone, bank cards and security camera were stolen while the victim was upstairs.
If anyone has any information regarding these incidents, please contact 101 quoting 23*159735 (motorbike) or 23*159744 ( mobile phone). Enquires are ongoing to establish who is responsible. Please remember to ensure that doors are locked at ALL times and do not give opportunists the option to target you.  A spokesman for Beverley Community Police said: “It is approaching that time of year when we see an increase in burglaries nationwide. CCTV, sensor lights and alarms are good deterrents. We have also seen an increase in the use of Ring Doorbells which provide great footage with the addition of audio.”
