A flagship office development in Beverley is now fully occupied after two more businesses moved into Armstrong House at Flemingate.

Now independent financial advisor Ashley Phillips and software developer Garage Data Systems have taken the last remaining suites.

Ashley Phillips, a family-run financial planning firm specialising in pensions, has doubled its floor space by moving its five-strong team to Armstrong House. Director and Principal Financial Advisor Phillip Trevarrow said the move would help the business to grow.

“We wanted to be in a modern environment with a bigger office space to enable us to grow and Flemingate fits the bill for our business,” he said. “Armstrong House offers new, air-conditioned offices in a great location. We’re right in the centre of where it’s all happening – we have facilities all around us and there is easy parking for our clients and staff.

“There’s a buzz around Flemingate. We’re above Starbucks, opposite Costa Coffee and there are restaurants and the cinema, so it’s a hive of activity. It’s a very fresh and vibrant area.”

Ashley Phillips had been established for 14 years and was previously based in Saturday Market in the town. The company has recently been nominated for local and national awards, achievements of which Mr Trevarrow is proud.

He said: “We have a great service record with our clients and we’re well regarded in the industry. We’re planning to grow the business and looking to the future.”

Armstrong House is already home to Deluxebase, an international toy and games manufacturer, and Local Transport Projects (LTP), which supplies professional traffic engineering, transport planning and highway design services to the public and private sectors, as well as Flemingate’s centre management team.

Meanwhile, Garage Data Systems, a Beverley-based firm which provides business software for motor trade professionals, has moved from nearby Minster House.

Flemingate’s owners, Hull-based Wykeland, is now conducting a comprehensive refurbishment of Minster House, which is adjacent to the Flemingate centre. Once completed, the building will provide extensive quality office accommodation over three floors in a wide range of suites from single rooms to full floors.
