Christmas Tree Festival: 1-10 December 2023
A twinkling collection of more than 125 Christmas trees will be on display at Beverley Minster’s 10-day Christmas Tree Festival. The festival will be open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday, and noon to 4pm on the Sunday. Entry costs £5 for adults, with free entry for accompanied children (under 18).
Each tree is sponsored by a different local charity, organisation, school or business, which means every fir tree looks unique once it’s been dressed and lit with beautiful fairy lights.
On Thursday 7 December the Festival will remain open to the public until 6pm. There will also be Quiet Sessions on Monday 4 December between 9am and 10pm and between 4pm and 5pm for neurodiverse visitors who may struggle with the crowds and noise at other times of the festival.
New this December will be the chance for visitors to join special sessions to decorate their own Christmas wreaths amongst the festival trees. Led by experts from the Beverley Flower Club, sessions will run on Wednesday 6, Thursday 7 and Friday 8 December – the same days as the Made in East Yorkshire Markets. This means more festive activities to enjoy across the town.
Places are limited so booking ahead will be essential. Each wreath-making ticket allows free entry to the Christmas Tree Festival and participants will also enjoy a warming mug of hot chocolate as part of their wreath-making experience. More details at Beverley Minster
