Crackdown urged over cycles in pedestrian areas
Beverley councillor David Elvidge has urged police to crack down on cyclists flouting pedestrian zones in the town. He said he had received a growing number of complaints about cyclists riding down Toll Gavel and Butcher Row, both of which prohibit all vehicles, including bikes, during certain hours. Anyone caught runs the risk of a £50 fixed penalty.
