Councillor raises estate concerns
Residents living on the new Elm Tree Park Estate in Molescroft say they have been frustrated by the time it has taken for East Riding of Yorkshire Council to adopt the estate’s roads and the fact that many of the pavements and roads are still unfinished.
However, St Mary’s Ward councillor Denis Healy, who took up their complaints, told Beverley FM that since his intervention the developer was nearing completion of the works and that the council is due to formally adopt the highway.
He said the new footpaths were being used illegally by motorists, putting pedestrians in danger and after taking up the case, Councillor Healy asked East Riding Council to instal new barriers to ensure the safety of residents.
