Coach firm’s donation to Manchester appeal
A Beverley coach company has donated £1,500 to the victims of last month’s terror attack in Manchester. Acklams Coaches waived its fees so that everyone who used their coaches to go to the tragic Ariana Grande gig on May 22 could return to Manchester for the recent benefit concert free of charge. Others who had a ticket to the benefit concert, which was attended by 50,000 people, were charged £30 to travel on an Acklams coach, which the company then donated to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, which has now raised in excess of £10m. Acklams said they had sent three coaches to the Old Trafford cricket ground for the all-star benefit concert.
