City preview: Tigers aim for another good result In Yorkshire derby

By Alex Green

After Saturday’s surprising result against Boro, Hull City will be looking to pull off another shock against Leeds United tonight (Tuesday). Leeds, on the other hand, will be looking to carry on their form in a bid for promotion this season.

Nigel Adkins played a 5-4-1 formation against Boro, and I expect him to do the same against Marco Bielsa’s side. Jordy de Wijs has been ruled out of the game after an ankle injury, which could mean a return for Angus MacDonald who has been out of the side this season. Evandro is also out so will not be back in the starting XI.

The rest of the team should stay the same after a good performance against Boro, and if they can play the same way, we could be in for a good game in the Yorkshire derby.

Leeds will be without some key men, including Kemar Roofe and Gaetano Berardi, which is very good for City. Ex-Tiger Liam Cooper is expected to captain their side, although I doubt he will receive a warm welcome, having switched to one of City’s Yorkshire rivals.

I expect this to be a close game if City can defend well. However, an early Leeds goal will put The Tigers in trouble if a defensive formation is played.
