Charity’s boost from store’s opening
Claire Raper, the founder of Beverley charity Bundles of Joy, will join East Riding Council chairman Margaret Chadwick to officially open the new B&M store at the Victoria Retail Park in the town this Saturday morning (September 8th) at 9am, with the charity, which helps families in crisis, receiving £250 worth of shopping vouchers towards its work.
Staff at the store, near Morrison’s, had been asked to nominate a local worthy cause to mark its opening and manager Mike Hayhurst told us: The team from Bundles of Joy really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for the local community and we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do. We hope that our donation can help them continue the great work they do.”
Bundles of Joy was a founded in November 2016 and collects and distributes baby and family equipment to families in need within Hull, Beverley, and East Yorkshire. It currently needs donations of baby baths, bouncy chairs, moses basket stands and ladies’ toiletries. For further information visit www.bundlesofjoy.org.uk
