Catering students cook up a storm

A networking Supper Club formed by local business men and women visited East Riding College’s training restaurant in Beverley, allowing catering students the chance to show off their cooking skills by serving up a three-course meal. One of those attending was Dan Poole, head chef of Hull’s award-winning 1884 Dock Street Kitchen restaurant and going forward he is keen to work with the students to give them a greater insight into the industry.

Elwell’s Restaurant, based at the college’s Flemingate campus, features a full licensed dining room and during term times it is open to the public on occasional evenings and lunchtimes. Call 01482 390760 for times and further information.
