Care home plan delayed
The company behind plans to transform the former Keldgate Manor residential care home in Beverley say the £10 million scheme to create a care village has been delayed. The Leeds-based Springfield Healthcare Group now say work won’t start before September 2018 and hope to have the complex open by Christmas the following year.
It’s understood a bat survey needs to be complete before work can go ahead and that can’t now be done until next May after the hibernation period is over. Other factors include the availability of contractors and changes to the construction programme because of the need of additional groundworks. The complex will include a 79-bed dementia facility plus 15 apartments.
