Beverley theatre’s summer festival
Beverley’s East Riding Theatre has launched its summer long festival of engagement, inspiration and celebration with a theatre double bill. Showcasing the young talent in the area, the East Riding Theatre will be hosting a wide variety of shows by young performers, including theatre, comedy, spoken word and much more.
The first show will be Spoonface Steinberg, written by the writer of Billy Elliot, Lee Hall. The award-winning show, about faith, love and the meaning of life, was first broadcast on Radio 4 in 1977. Joining the double bill will be Perfidious Lion, which is a new solo show written and performed by Bettine Mackenzie and directed by Oliver Dawe.
Spoonface Steinberg and Perfidious Lion will be running from Thursday the 29th of June to Sunday the 1st of July. Tickets for any of the shows and the full summer season of events is available to download on www.eastridingtheatre.co.uk.
