Beverley restaurant’s sudden closure
A Beverley restaurant that traded for many years, albeit under a number of different names, has suddenly closed its doors and announced that the Butcher Row premises are available to rent for possible new operators.
American-inspired Rub Burgers and Shakes, as it was known latterly, had traded briefly as Snap Steak and before that Rebels Smokehouse, but had first opened as a fine dining restaurant, Dine on the Rowe, under chef and owner Jason Rowe.
The shock closure announcement was posted on the Rub Burgers and Shakes Facebook page on Sunday. Followers were told: “It’s with great regret that we announce that Rebels/Rub Beverley has now closed with immediate effect. Thank you for your custom and support over the last five years.
“The fully licensed restaurant is now available to rent as the full package for pop ups, short term or longer term let’s. Please DM for details. Please let street food operators know.
“The team have all been offered other positions within the company.”
