Beverley in Bloom presentation evening

The Beverley in Bloom Town competition presentation evening took place recently at Beverley Conservative Club.  The evening began with a flower demonstration by Kevin Hara, with the flowers then donated as raffle prizes.

Hospitality – Gold: Tiger Inn Silver Gilt: Green Dragon, Rose & Crown, Royal Standard, Traveller’s Rest, Windmill, Grapes, Queens Head.

Retail – Silver Gilt: Beverley Carpets, Glenholme, El Turco.

Community – Gold: Beverley Minster, Harvest Court (winner of Tesco Voucher presented by the Community Champion from Tesco, David Ryley). Silver Gilt: Beverley Grange, Miller’s Day Centre, Treasure House. Bronze: Old School House.

Special Awards to young helpers in the Community – 5th Beverley Wesley Rainbows, 5th Beverley Wesley Guides, 8th Beverley Wesley Rainbows, Miss Yaren Bayar.

At the conclusion of the evening the Mayor thanked everyone for all their hard in making Beverley look beautiful and helping Beverley achieve Gold in their category and best town in Yorkshire.
