Lindum House, in Deer Park Way, off Lincoln Way, hold their event – a tea dance with live music in the dining room – on Saturday, from 2pm to 4pm. There will be various stalls, including craft, flower, cake and refreshments and staff will be on hand to do show people around and answer any questions.
Tomorrow (Friday), Claremont House, in Wingfield Way, is hosting activities throughout the day. A spokesman said: “We will be open for visitors from 11am and will finish the day with The Walkington Singers at 3pm. All ages welcome, so come and enjoy the day!” There will also be a grand raffle for a food hamper, £30 worth of Morrison’s shopping vouchers and a bottle of champagne.
This (Thursday) afternoon at Claremont House there is an open day between 2 and 4pm linked to National Cupcake Day, when staff and residents’ families are baking cup cakes to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
