Beverley businesses shortlisted for awards
Three Beverley area businesses have been shortlisted for this year’s White Rose Tourism Awards, organised by Welcome to Yorkshire. There are 17 categories in all and The Westwood Restaurant in Beverley, which is already the current holder of the Restaurant of the Year title in the 2017 Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards organised by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire, has been shortlisted in a similar category in the White Rose Awards, which will be announced at a dinner being held towards the end of October or the beginning of November.
Six weeks of mystery shopping and judging now take place and The Westwood is up against The Lanterna Restaurant, of Scarborough, Prashad, a vegetarian Indian restaurant based of Drighlington, near Bradford, The Hare, at Scawton, near Helmsley, The Pheasant Hotel, at Harome, and the Wentworth Restaurant within The Talbot Hotel at Malton.
Broadgate Farm Cottages at Walkington, is shortlisted in the self-catering accommodation of the year category and Tickton Grange is shortlisted as Small Hotel of the Year.
