Beverley Arms advertising for staff
The countdown has begun to the reopening of Beverley’s historic Beverley Arms Hotel in North Bar Within.Owners Thwaites Inns are now well on the way to completing the £6 million renovations ahead of a June opening and this week have begun advertising for senior staff to join them. Overall, 60 jobs are being created at the hotel, which will have 40 high quality bedrooms, a restaurant and bar.
As well as advertising for a general manager and assistant manager, Thwaites say “an exciting opportunity” awaits for a head chef to oversee the hotel’s dining operations. “We are looking for a real foodie with an eye for quality to be our head chef in Beverley’s latest restaurant. If you are currently a head chef, or possible sous chef ready for the move up, this is a great opportunity to be part of something special, as we want you to put us on the map as the best place in town to eat,” says the company, adding: “This is a unique chance to make your mark on the hospitality scene, as the kitchen team will be yours to shape.”
Thwaites say they are looking for a general manager to “shape and lead a high performing team” to deliver a projected turnover of £3 million a year. They say: “You will be pivotal to the successful launch of this boutique hotel and all decisions affecting it – you’ll handpick your team; play a key role in sharing and implementing the launch plan; and you will have a superb, characterful property in which to trade.”
The senior positions at the Beverley Arms are currently being advertised nationally but the company says a recruitment team will be attending local recruitment fairs and distributing posters in local colleges and on community boards to fill all the positions on offer within the hotel.
