Beverley ARLFC – 24th December 2021

The NCL fixtures for 2022 have been released. In a tricky looking opening month in division 2, Beverley will open up with a trip to Hunslet Warriors. The following week, they will entertain Normanton Knights, in what will be their only home fixture in March, before hitting the road to Dewsbury Moor and Woolston Rovers.

Other noteworthy fixtures include a trip to Heworth on April 9th before a return fixture on June 4th at the Leisure Centre. The York outfit will provide the nearest thing to a local derby for the Blue and Golds. They are also likely to be among the promotion front-runners following their impressive showing in the emergency regionalised competition in 2021, where they topped the table.

All being well club officials will be looking forward to their first full and ‘normal’ season since 2019.

Of course, the close season is proving to be an eventful one with the change of coaching staff. New Head Coach Trevor Penrose will have a 2-month’ bedding in’ period including some pre-season friendlies to be announced shortly.
