Bags of help from supermarket
A local school and a charity organisation have benefitted from Beverley’s Tesco supermarket and its Bags of Help initiative. Molescroft Primary School has been handed £5,000 to refurbish its outdoor wildlife area. Meanwhile, East Riding Voluntary Action Services has been handed £2,000 to support its Volunteer Green scheme, which aims to improve access to community gardening and growing projects for children and young people. The money raised has come from the supermarket’s 5p carrier bag charge.
