A young cyclist who sadly died following a collision on Woodhall Way in Beverley last Thursday evening has been named as 15-year-old Riley Ketley. There have been many heartfelt tributes from his family and friends on social media. Police told Beverley FM that despite the best efforts of all involved, Riley sadly passed away at hospital. His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers and have asked for privacy. Police have praised East Riding residents for their responsible behaviour so far following the new relaxed Covid-19 restrictions. Assistant Chief Constable Darren Downs told us that adhering to guidelines to prevent the virus spreading must remain a top priority.

A £2.3 million programme of roadworks has started in East Yorkshire to help prevent potholes. It will take 5 months for council teams to apply 13,000 tonnes of stone chippings to dress 67 miles or road surfaces at 207 locations.  More details including the full list of locations can be found here.
